Service down....

by DrFrito    Aug 26, 2013, 7:33 AM

We woke up Sunday morn to no service in our area. zip 27814. (On the bright side, nobody's phones went off in church). This is a predominately uscellular market.

Monday, still no service. If we drive a couple miles over we will pick up a different tower and can make calls. The last time this happened I did just that, called customer service, and then just had a laughable conversation something like:
Me: We don't have service in our area anymore.
Them: But you are talking on your phone now.
Me: I know but that's because I had to drive to a different area.
Them: But your phone is working so we can't help you.

This went back and forth for awhile. I finally decided they were doing this on purpose, nobody can be this stupid.

Problem for us again: the only other provider is Verizon which, while up, is still way too expensive. We pay $50 for 1 line. I chatted with verizon yesterday and they are $100 for 1 line plus taxes. AND they don't work inside most houses or church here.

I'm praying that God will have tmobile take over uscellular and do it quickly. We always had good luck with them when we lived in OK.

So call on our landline? We dropped it awhile back because we had an unlimited plan with uscellular.....dumb idea.
