Because the market is moving to smartphones. The latest and greatest. U.S. Cellular is always the last to get new phones ALWAYS! And it's not by a week or two it's months. People don't want to have to wait for them to get with it. Another is data roaming they're not a nationwide company who wants to get a smartphone and then be shut off if they use 50% of their usage off of USCC network? I know other carriers have the same rule however their network is a lot bigger, a lot bigger.
I do love the fact that there is only 1 contract, but prices for current customers with family plans jump at least $20. I would be ticked enough to leave if I was told I couldn't get all those benefits without paying more $$$ per month.
Maybe if they would get the iPhone it would solve a lot of problems too.
