New Social Media Policy

Recently left U.S. Cellular and found out from some of my former colleagues that there's a new social media policy that basicly says employees are not allowed to talk about US Cellular in any public platform unless authorized to.

From what i've been told this policy is meant to prevent customers from getting wrong information on forums and facebook. Somehow the reps who are trusted in working with customers every day and selling the US Cellular brand aren't trusted to talk about it on social forums.

I personally think this policy is more about preventing people from telling customers that the company thats supposed to care doesn't give a **** about its employees. It's charging more then ever for its services and paying its employe...

That sucks.

What sucks the most is that, in a world where you can get fired because your boss did not like what (s)he saw on your facebook, it's really tough crap.

Not saying it's right. Just make sure they don't catch you.

Wants its image scarred because it continuously cuts the pay of its employees.
