Don't know where you are from, but there is virtually no turnover going on where I am at. Sad to hear you have a different experience.

That's because by and large i think us cellular is probably a terrible company to work for. I know a location that hasn't kept a district manager for more than 2 years and in probably the last 10 years have gone through at least 5 due to them being fired.

All the hoops you have to jump through and the low pay make the company not fun or rewarding to work for. The interview i had with them was terrible enough to sour me on working for them forever. I had to drive all the way to dubuque, about 3 hours from my location, to a retail store to do a phone interview with some pakastani or indian guy that i couldn't barely understand who was based in chicago. All this for a minimum wage job. Worst experience i ever had.

Not in the slightest. It was a terrible job in the first place. I was more annoyed by the fact that i had to drive 2 hours to do a phone interview with a guy that barely spoke english.

I've seen a ton of management turnover with us cellular. And i also know us cellular employees post here under guise of being just a customer to try and paint a specific picture.

There are not many hoops. The company does look for people that would be a good fit with our goals and values.

As far as your distric manager stuff, I'd have to say what you described is pretty unlikely. Haven't heard of anything like that in my time with the company.

Your idea of USC being a terrible company to work for is also premature. The company Business Model has Associate Satisfaction as a key component to success. Additionally, the area I work in was second for our states "best place to work at" in 2009. Oh, and pay is far more than minimum wage.

Sorry you didn't get a job, hope you made yourself feel better by venting on an online forum. Good luck in your future.

From what I have heard the company is totally awesome to work for. They do have a very selective hiring process so maybe you just didn't make the cut. Sorry about your experience but 🙂 they do have the best employees!

USCC is by far the best company I've ever been employed by. Great pay, great benefits, and those are just the small rewards of being an associate. Sorry about your experience, but that has NOT been the case anywhere near or around my workplace.

I completely agree, i have been employed for a year, i have worked for other cell phone companies in the past and this is by far the best experience i have ever had. Yes they are selective, yes the pay is great, well above min wage... and the comission depending on location is excellent... i have not been happier working for a company in a long time.

The reason for your "sour" interview is because they want you to interview you from fresh eyes and ears not the one that runs the location your trying to get into...then you would interview again with the location your trying to get into...yeah looks like you were cut. Sorry...

Really? I work at one of the Dubuque locations. I have been at this store for 4 years and I'm an assistant manager. I think a lot of the Dubuque stores have a lot of the same employees. Most of our employees have been here for 4+ years. If corporate stores aren't hiring, you can always try to apply at agent locations.

I work for an agent location and I love it hear I have never made less than a $11.00 an hour with commissions and as much as 17.00 an hour. I also get sweet phone plan pricing. 😁

I left US Cellular because I got tired of all of the brain washing they tried to do with all of their stupid training sessions and propaganda meetings.

The "dynamic origanization" is a total joke and I don't miss working there at all, although the pay was decent.

Also my managers couldn't think of a decent idea to save their lives, but yet still refused to listen to alternative suggestions to improve the store. Perhaps things have changed though with old man Rooney and Ellison out of the picture.

I think it may have been the leaders taht you had moto. I know my leaders here are very open to hearing from us and implementing our ideas to improve our store. If it works well enough for the store then it's opened up to see how it works in other locations. I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with your leaders and that's not how the company treats it's employees at all.
