I hate my phone!

I've really had it with this Moto Crush. I got it on Thanksgiving with the hope that it would be a cool phone but it has been a pain instead.
The touch interface is difficult to wade through and it often does things I don't want it to do or won't do things I want it to.. example in a call if I want to get to the keyboard I have to work back to the main screen and sometime you can't or trying to do so causes it to drop the call. Other times it just freezes and does nothing for a minute or more while I press futily. There are other user problems with it and I've had it. https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/forum.php ?fm=p&ff=12&fi=n#
Are there any trade in options seeing as I have had it for six months now but am still in a 2 year contrat...

Yes there is an option. Go to your nearest COR Store and inquire about Used handsets. You may get a good deal on one, and if they do not have one your looking for see if they can get it for you. Because your under contract the earliest that you can upgrade again isnt for another 6 months and that would be to a phone that requires internet access. Hope this helps.

( I agree with you on that phone.)

There is a software update for the Crush that is suppose to help the touch interaction. That problem is hopefully fixable. As far as freezing goes, that is usually a memory issue (not always though). Do you have a memory card? How many pics/vids/sounds do you store on your phone?

I would take it into a store and have a rep/tech examine your phone. Otherwise erik gave a great option for a used phone.

There is software update? I would sure like to try it. Just a while ago I was trying to activate the speakerphone and it would not do it. This last week it has taken to making text messages on its own and trying to send them out.
This phone is possessed!

I went in and got the softare updated.
It is now R614_00.OE12P.

I notice a problem now with it going into screen blank/ear mode and then not coming out of it for the call duration when before it would not go into it. Can't say that is an improvement but I will keep using it for a while to see if the usability has improved overall. I'm looking into getting a used different phone off ebay

That screen going blank when the phone connects a call is not acceptable. I can't get into voice mail if I can't dial numbers..
Took it back and was told this is a known issue and my phone has to be sent back for repair. Now I've got a beat up Wine but even that is more usable than that Crush. (Ironic name)
At least in 8 weeks I can renew a contract and get rid of this terrible phone. This phone is a great example of why it is better to TEST longer rather than rush to get it out.
I see USCC is getting a number of new phones too soon so this may work itself out.

I know what your talking about. I had it for 3 months and it started driving me crazy. That phone almost made me want to stop texting cause I found it to be a pain. I also hated the fact that the lock button was on the front because it would always unlock and call people and start playing music. I ended up breaking it and had to buy a used phone. I got the Freeform used, and it has been great. I don't know how big of a texter you are but it is great for that, and I even have big hands. The only downfall is that it doesn't have a video camera and the camera itself isn't great. It gets good reception and I haven't had a problem with it. But I would suggest getting rid of the crush, it sucks.

It sounds like you are running out of date software probably running .0ep or .0fp. the upgrade to 12p should fix all the problems you hav listed here. you can update on motorolas web site or go to a Corp Store with a servic center.

The software updates do not take care of any of those problems. You are correct this phone is horrible. I guess US missed these problems when they were doing there EXTENSIVE testing. LOL. I bought mine around Thanksgiving also, fixing to let verizon buy out the contract and switch. I've had it with US Cellular and there equipment or lack of.

I'd hate to be the one to tell you, but no cell phone company will buy out your contract from another cell phone company. It is unfortunate that even after all the testing some phone with bugs still get through. Honestly though, USC had the least amount of deffective phones because of that testing.
