Why are US Celluar stores Closing

Lost two corporate stores in my area this month. Sign of the times or getting sold?

I wouldn't know in my area, since most stores are indirects. I believe only 1 or 2 stores are corporate. Prior to 2008, all of my local USCC stores were indirects.

Even T-Mobile operates nearly all indirects in my area, with only 3 locations in my local mall (2 corporate kiosks are former Mobile Solution kiosks). Only AT&T & Verizon have more corporate stores.

That being said,

Of course it is much less expensive for the Carrier no matter who it is to have Agent locations as opposed to the overhead of operating their own store.

Jay is retiring at year end. He is done with the work force. He isn't being forced out, or quitting.

He has been a great asset to this company and a very intelligent man. I have had a few conversations with him and he is great to talk to.
