The Koi contains a 1.2 mega-pixel camera. The features include 6 resolutions and 3 quality settings. There are 9 Frames that can be used when taking photos. The phone also contains a flash, which will work only when your subject is within 12 inches of the lens and even then your photo will be dark and grainy. On all but the highest setting you can use the zoom feature and the phone also has a self timer and low light mode. When compared to the resolution of the Motorola V710 the Koi is the hands-down winner. One serious design flaw though is the placement of the lens. So how does one get the benefit of the entire 1.2 megapixel sensor, if pictures are only 400x600? the resolution should be around 1200x1000 and file size a few hundred kilobytes. This is important, I would think.

Well...having a 1.2 megapixel camera phone is more of a toy than anything else. I tell all of my customers if they want good pictures, buy a digital camera. A camera phone is a novelty. The max resolution of the Koi is 1280 x 160 but just doesn't look that good on a computer screen.

As to USCC release, the Koi has been slated for pre-Christmas launch however no date has been passed down. I think our marketing team requested a delay to get new advertising in place.

Well right now we are all just guessing. I've been told one thing by one department, and another but someone else so it's anybodys guess. Only the head honchos know when it will be released. But from a business sense it should definitly be before Christmas.
