I know there are multiple, posts on this but didn't wanna just toss this in the bottom of a thread.

I know some people are stating it will cost more it will cost less, but honestly never having to sign a contract again, after your first intial one? Verizon smart phone contract cancellation is 350..

The belief points is like a reward system, where you get to, use it to discount items in store, car chargers, screen protectors and so forth, which saves $ and adds up over time.

The plans with phone replacement, basically if your phone breaks drops in water go in, and swap it out, no waiting, for a replacement unless they don't have it in the store.

Only time you have...

The only problem with the plans is they are bundling stuff together, oftentimes when people don't want it and being told it's for their own good. Just like texting, you go from per use to unlimited without anything in between. Bottom line, consumer choice is being taken away, but they are being told it's for their own good. Prices are generally higher as a result of all the bundling. I think a lot of people are disappointed at all the hype built up only to find out their price plan will go up if they switch. It was a big letdown. USCC is offering perks because they are charging more on the new plans, so perks are figured into the pricing being higher.

USCC continues to show how out of step they are with the industry. Only USCC employee's corn fed with daily heaps of DO bull will think this is a "game changer". Verizon, the only company out there who would buy the now less than 6 million customers, will continue to feast on USCC customers. This program will not stop that feeding.

USCC might be a good deal compared to Verizon, but what about with the virtual players joining the game like Walmart. This link shows they use T-mobile's network and have unlimited talk, text, and 100Mb data for $45 a month for one line or $70 for 2 lines. That's a much better deal and no contract needed and they didn't hype it all up like USCC did. People are left scratching their heads saying "really?" this is what all the buildup and hype was all about--new higher priced plans?? Wow that was well worth the wait! I think Walmart needs to actually advertise these plans and you'll see Verizon, ATT, USCC all sweating as people leave them. Oh well, believ...

Not comparing to Verizon or any provider, but comparing to US Cellular before the Belief ... prices were lower for most plans.

The nice part is they aren't forcing us to leave our lower price plans, we can still stay in the current plans and just have to sign the contract every two years, right?

Yes, you can stay on an old plan and add and change features and sign contracts every two years. You can even add on lines to your existing plan. U.S. Cellular is banking on customers seeing the value in the new services and either paying a similar cost or possibly a little more for a better cellular experience. Quit being a tight-wad. If your bill's $90 or $100 who cares? It's only $10 difference. And if you want to go to Walmart or Cricket and get a crappy phone and pay $45 a month for unlimited everything on an inferior network, that's your choice. When I'm hanging at the bar watching a game with my buddies, I pull out my android smartphone to check scores and look at my fantasy football updates, not some junky flip phone that I bo...

Here's how I see it...

U.S. Cellular is not trying to compete with Walmart or Cricket or Boost or Virgin Mobile because those are discount resellers who lease tower space from major providers and offer junk phones... Because they are leasing their space and not hiring engineers to build and maintain their own towers their networks are very limited and customers have problems placing and receiving calls indoors, slow data connection, limits of 100 mb/month, etc.

U.S. Cellular is competing with Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint and competing quite successfully. U.S. Cellular's network is very good and their plans are competitive. On top of that with the belief project their customer service is basically going to be unmatched in the ...

You couldn't be more wrong. Us cellular is NOT competing with the big 4. They aren't even in the same league. They are the SIXTH largest company. To put that into perspective for you, uscellular has 6.2 million customers. metropcs has 7.6 million. I had never even heard of them. Then it goes to tmobile who has 33 million customers. Yes, us cellular is 27 million customers behind the fourth largest company you say they are competing with quite successfully. Which btw if they were competing successfully they wouldn't have lost more post pay customers than they gained last quarter. They must have lost those customers to someone eh?

Would be pretty stupid for them to even remotely attempt to compete directly with that. Even tmobile...

I agree with some of the things you are saying. US Cellular is not trying to compete with the "big 4", at least not by playing the same game they are. Advertising and latest phones are the song and dance of the "big 4". US Cellular knows that winning that battle will not happen. It doesn't have the finances for that kind of war.

Instead, the goal is to try and treat customers better than they have been. These new plans are all people can focus on lately. While price is always a mark to be looked at it carriers like Verizon and AT&T have no room to talk. I've done the comparissons and USC will be more expensive for some, and equal rate for others, and great savings for others. The differnce is even if USC is $10 more a month than another ...

Looking at the numbers each has it looks like USCC's real competition is Tmobile.
I've started looking around to see what others are charging and Tmobile has better coverage especially in Northern Wi and Michigan. Their basic family plan is $10 cheaper too. I'm starting to w...

Ok, here's my suggestion, take it or leave it. If you're an agent or a customer service rep or other company representative, try not to tell customers to "quit being a tight wad". That doesn't reflect well personally or professionally.

As I've stated before, the reason I have stayed with USCC for 10 years and will continue to do so is because of great phone reception in my area and good (albeit not always consistent) customer service.

The issue I raised about prices is valid. My own personal single user plan will go up $15/month. Sometimes people in a tough economy are tight wads. The new plans allow for very little customization (e.g. pay per text or unlimited text, no inbetween; no option for premium internet phones that is chea...

Honestly the new plans are all glamor. They are just bundling things together and hoping you bite. It works if your trying to set up a family of android powered devices. It forgets to let you customize maybe a family with 1 internet need. Even the talk and text plan is more expensive than the last plans. Personally it only make a change in the sense of 1 and done contracts. If you like the carrier you'll stay anyways, that's what they are banking on.

There is one thing that they are doing though, confusing/boring me with their commercials. Really? Youtube those things they really are terrible.

The Belief Plans do have option for customers that have family plan with one in need. You can add data feature on plans that dont have data included.

As For the commercials. I kind of agree. They could of done better.
