East Coast?

Feb 22, 2004, 4:54 AM
on the nation plans, who is their partner on the east coast (for example New York area)

i.e. how is the coverage in the new york area?

in new york you would be roaming no matter where your at. us cellular does not have any towers there, but if you are on a nationwide plan you dont have to worry about any roaming charges.

I think that Mendel was asking since US Cellular is not in the NY area who covers you while roaming in that area.

Thats correct, they do, I roam off a Verizon tower sometimes here right in the heart of eastern Iowa even tho we are "covered" so their maps say the tower signal not making it into the town I live in says otherwise...

In the New York City area, US Cellular's "roaming partnet" is Verizon Wireless. This is assuming you have a CDMA Handset (one purchased from USCellular since 10/1/2003).
