yes, i was just in san diego and it worked just fine, there are no roaming charges for data, it just some of the services like the uscc owned nav doesnt work...but i also had a BB and everything worked...

You can get data anywhere you go where there is a signal, however there are not yet 3G roaming agreements in place between any carriers (though i have heard they are currently in negotiations), so you will only get 1X data

Actually we do have 3G roaming agreements however we do not promise data speeds depending on where you are
