Early upgrade to smart phone or pre internet phone

how bad is US Cellular hurting to offer this to customers. its not a good idea. its a way to scam people into a new 2 year contract. they will get the new phone ( which will add 20 to 40 Internet package mattes what one you get) not like it because they will be paying more money. then have to which back to there old phone. then still be on a 2 year agreement.
yea people US Cellular is hurting more and more people are leaving because of our phones. they are tired of the same crap. plus the company that US Cellular is selling due to low profit. I work for US Cellular and don't even have there service.

I like how all comment were made by sales people who get discount on services ( the 20 to 40 Internet fee is 5 to 20 for you). so when you get smart style phone that add more money to your bill you call me dumb. there is no point in anything you have said. you all made one comment on the list of things i talked about. when customers read this and see it will add to the bill we will see who is the dumb one.

I have several customers come in that are not eligible for equipment but need a smartphone for work or have a personal want for a smartphone all the time. Now I can tell them no problem! Instead of "that will be $500+". They will still have their 30 day guarantee and if they aren't happy they can go back to their original term time and equipment. Not to sound like I am drinking the Kool Aid but that IS Human Coverage. USCC hasn't done anything major that I can think of that goes against the culture they are striving for with the Mythos Launch.

There is a huge value in data not only for the company but for the customer. I am glad to work for a company that doesn't just look at its needs but mine as a consumer as well!

since the op is cranky about something (uscc is hurting?? and this promo is proof of that?? :lol🙂 i'll direct this one to you. i was of the impression that customers taking advantage of this promo weren't eligible for the 30-day guarantee as far as swapping to another smartphone. they can only revert the contract. was i misinformed?

well, gee, i would assume someone who supposedly works for the company would know that if they return the phone within 30 days they can roll back to their old agreement.

also doesn't sound like we are breaking peoples arms to come and do this, yep sounds like a scam to me.

for christ sake, we get people in every damn day asking to upgrade into a smart phone and now we have a tool to be able to help the customer get what they want and then we have "tools" talking crap about it and don't know all the facts.

hey Webster, less time criticising and more time training on policy updates - you're a disgrace to the associates who actually want to help ...

Ok- i know this is a lil late but tell me if im correct- your complaint is were not giving them the data package completely free when we discount their new phone 10 months before any other carrier would even let them upgrade (other carriers are 20 or 22 months on full discount of new equipment) WOW. i'd like to live in whatever altnerate universe your from so that i can have what ever, i want when ever i want, without paying for it.

I hope your manager finds this forum and fires your azz, someone with your knowledge and attitude only deserves a low ranking position with cricket with all those other...I'll be polite. If you dont like this company and dont believe in our products, then leave. Go sell some insects, or flip a 99 cent cheeseburger, but dissing a company you work for really shows your true colors.

Actually, US Cellular has the lowest churn rate (i.e. number of customers leaving) out of all majour carriers. If you worked for us, you would know that.

We lose some money by letting people upgrade early, but they're moving into a larger service which benefits us. As a company, it makes excellent sense to give someone an early upgrade if they want to take out more features, obviously.

Maybe you should go work for McDonalds.
