be careful. the only way you could know what phones are in testing is if you are a us cellular employee. it is company policy not to release proprietary information. this includes phones that are in testing. the reason for this is two-fold:

all us cellular cell phones that may reach the market go through 5 months of testing on the network and outside the network to test glitches. some don't make it through testing.

release dates are tentative and dependent on testing.

it isn't right to put this information out. just because it's on the buzz, there is a reason the buzz is only accessible on us cellular's intranet.

While I agree partially with what you are saying, I believe the purpose of this post is to get info not leak company info. If nothing else this creates a "buzz" among current and potential customers of things to come and this is good for any business.

Now, the 260 is very similar to the LG RUMOR/SCOOP which you can find here on phonescoop. Our version will be black and blue. I personally think it gives it a KB toys kind of vibe like the Strobe. The Kyocera in testing is a Strobe upgrade more angular than rounded. The previous post with a link regarding the 565 is on the money, it is very Nokia like visually and with an FM tuner in addition to MP3 feature wise as well. Im excited USC needs something fresh!

If you really work for USC you know we are not supposed to give out info on any phones not currently in stock. Even color. Things can change at any minute.

Thank you!!! Finally someone who actually knows the policy. I can not believe the number of cell employees on here giving out info that is not supposed to be given out. I actually post a thread about that. I can't believe the responses basically saying "so what". Thank you

Well i wish corp would read this and start doing something about getting new phones!!! Our customers don't want the left overs we are getting after every other company picks what new hip phones they want... Come on its like sloppy 2nds i.e the "strobe" Its like ohh we got this new phone coming out bla bla bla does this and that and when we get it well yeah everyone else has already had it and moved on to bigger and better. Its like that saying if you can't run with the big dogs stay on the porch.

yes, they do want new phones. They want phones that work also. That is why we test longer than any other carrier. Corp. does read these.

if they really test phones longer to make sure they work, then why do phones still release with issues...case in point the ROKR was released with a text messaging issue that still has not been fixed (i have not been able to determine if it was a specific batch of the entire lot of phones USCC got) 😕 😕 .

Motorola has stated to me that is is a USCC issue, and USCC is stating that it is a Motorola issue. SO almost 3 months later my wife's phone is still not working right. I had issues with the phone before that as well, the slider remix. lets not forget the LG 5550, LG 6100...and the list could go on...but I will end here... 😕

first the ROKR is a motorola issue. They have already admitted it and are fixing it. It is also imposible to make sure something will never have issues. All you can do is try your best to make sure they do not exist. That is what we do. We do not claim to be perfect.
