Motorola T730

I've had the Motorola T730 for a few weeks now and so far I'm fairly happy with it, I've noticed though that quite frequently while I'm on it and I have full signal or 3 or 4 bars that I or the other person will cut out and be unable to hear each other, also where I live I get horrible reception, most times I usually don't get service even outdoors, I used to have the Nokia 3586i and switched due to the easyedge service and with the nokia I got GREAT reception in the same location so I believe that the Motorola's don't get no where near as good of reception. Also noticed at times while using it the screen will just go black/blue and sit there for about 30 seconds or so and just restart back up. Anyone else having the same problems?

i'm not a big fan of motorola. we have had nothing but problems with their recent models. they need to upgrade their charging mechanisms. their current j-4 connectors are horrible. my recommendation to you is to upgrade to an LG VX6000 if at all possible. you will be pleased with LG, trust me.

I used to have the T730 phone untill I switched to the LG VX6000 back in December. The LG isn't a hole lot better to be honest, for some reason when I dial certain numbers the phone goes retarded and locks up, shuts down, then restarts and act like nothing happened. So far I've only found 3 phone numbers that it does this for, don't ask me how it's possible but it does it. Signal wise the Motorola was a bit better. Easyedge performs very poor on the LG, for some reason the phone likes to lock up while using apps and such. I'm just waiting for US Cellular to release some new phones, they said that in the next month or two theys hould be releasing some that have mobile windows built into them.

i carry the vx6000 since the beginning of february and have been selling them since january and i havent heard of the phone shutting down completely. thats a manufacturer issue and you should have taken it in to get repaired. as far as signal goes maybe the motorola might pull a little better signal, but the 6000 is a digital only phone as well.. there are other things that also come into consideration when it comes to signal.

the only reason i got the 6000 was cause sofolo had one, we both work at the same us cellular dealer. i used to carry the 9500 which was awesome but the battery life was horrible. id still carry that phone if i hadnt drop it so much.

it sounds like you got a lemon model! i have heard hardly any complaints about the 6000. if i was you i would take it in under warranty repair or if you have insurance.....you might want to "lose" your phone.

Sure he might want to "lose" the phone, but remember, a police report is required, and you are filing an insurance claim, which is a legal document - there is such a thing as fraud . . .
