LNP Local Number Portability into and out-of MetroPCS
Hi,
I had a BellSouth # which I ported into Cingular Wireless. I'd really love to port this # into MetroPCS soon. Would that be possible? Also, would I be able to port this # to another carrier in the future? I heard something like if the # originally was from Bellsouth then I shouldn't have a problem to keep moving it from carrier to carrier - but I wanted to verify.
Thanks

Beautiful. Thank you! Now my only problem is that Cingular refuses to give me another # for my still-on-contract Cingular phone. I'm still talking my case up the chain of command there to see why I can pay $36 to change my number, but I cannot LNP my number out and THEN pay $36 to keep my contract alive... The number I want to LNP was not a Cingular # to begin with... They wanna charge me $175 for breach of contract if I go ahead and LNP while on contract... We'll see what happens.

You can port it over and over again so long as you pay the ETF to each carrier you port from...

I'm not gonna pay the Early Termination Fee because I don't wanna terminate my Cingular service. I want a diff number...
