Hello,
I have a question about using my v262 as a modem by connecting it with a USB cable. I have read a few things about it here and there but have not been able to a clear understanding about it. Is it even possible to use my phone as a modem with a USB cable and some software? If so, does anyone have any idea what software I need and can I download it free somewhere? How does it work exactly, do you just use your current ISP or what? Thanks in advance for any info. Later!

yes it will work, you will need the motorola modem driver and data cable, most kits come with both as well as a dialer but you can even use windows dialer. At this time we do not "support" a mpcs data connection (talking about 1x or evdo) but you can just connect to your exsisting isp the same way you normally do but you will select your phone as the modem. This works with any carrier it just uses minutes which is not a concern with metro, i will however warn you that you going to get a 14.4 connection.

If you really know what you are doing it is possible to connect to metro's 1x for data.
