MetroPCS roaming option with "traveltalk"
I was at Jackson (JAN), MS on Sunday when my MetroPCS Nokia 6255i announced I had new voice mail. I thought that was very strange so I called my voice mail number and it connected.
This morning I called up MetroPCS customer service and asked about that. Customer service explained that if I have the current preferred roaming list (PRL) that the phone would roam with Verizon Wireless SIDs when encountered. Billing is $0.50/minute and is deducted out of your MetroConnect account.
A pleasant surprise that no credit-card is required for roaming now. I remember reading about this MetroPCS/Verizon roaming agreement January of 2005, glad to see it happening.
