Hey I might be a little late to reply but the nokia 6255i is out for metro right now. Why not drop by a metro store or metro dealer to play around with it.

yeah...I plan doing just that, but just thought I'd ask from an actual customer with it in use.

I'm looking to get one for myself by the end of the week - I'll pitch in my 2 cents when I get a chance - thanks though!

Got the phone almost a week ago. The day that it came out. Best Metro phone that I have owned in 3 years. Not saying much I know. Text is clear, phone features are full, reception is awesome ( sacramento area ) and pics are brilliant. Bought the 8910 2 weeks ago as I HAD to have a phone, killed my old nokia 3586i, and then bought this one. Glad that I did.

Oh man...I'm soo jealous 😲 !!

I'll be placing an on-line order this week for one myself - can't wait!!

Quick question about the 8910 - how do (did) you like it ? pretty good phone for the price?

I'll be upgrading my wife's phone as well and was looking at the 8910 for her - upgrading from an older Kyocera 1155. She's not big on features, but reception (Bay Area) is more important for her.

Thanks again!!

8910 was a good phone. I only upgraded as this is the phone that I was really waiting for. I gave the 8910 to my son and he loves it. I loved it. He really wants mine though but can't blame him for that. I think that it did have better reception in my home though then the Nokia. Have a mmc card coming from Hong Kong for this phone and will be reviewing the use of that soon hopefully. Get your wife the 8910. I think that she will love it.

Thanks Tech!!

I finally got my 6255...and as McKeeDees would say... lovin' it"!

This is one how phone and worth every penny!

Today got a USB Bluetooth dongle (IOGEAR's Bluetooth to USB Adapter from Fry's - $30) downloaded the Nokia pc suite and started transferring midi, jpg, and gif files to the phone. I actually got a gif file to animate as a main or mini wallpaper - too cool! 😎 I did have trouble transferring a 2meg .acc file - it kept hanging up; I think the DKU USB cable is needed for large files...I dunno, just guessing?

Also, fyi - talked to Nokia support and mentioned the Belkin, DLink, and TDK USB Bluetooth adapters work too.

I did get my wife the 8910 and she does like it - reception is as good as it gets - n...

without any MMC card you can put like one or two songs, I'm using 6255i with 1GB MMC memory card (79.99 in Fry's) works good. Only media player software S***S. Looking for some new mp3 player soft.

The 8910 is a good phone. You can check a review of it at: http://cellphoneforums.net/t179878.html

I wrote it myself. It's got the basics and more. I highly recommend it.

This phone by-passes everything you would normaly have to pay for!

Any wallpaper you want, you can put on their for free. Same with ring tones, and games! With this phone you will no longer pay a cent. You want that cool game for your phone... use kazaa or emule, download then put on phone. I have 25 games on my phone. Over 2,000 mp3s (I bought a mmc card from kingmax- $34 for 1gb) The photos on the phone are perfect! 640x480 and cristle clear!. The video feature has a lag problem tho... it skips ever 3 secs.

I purchased a Nokia 6255i from Metro PCS and have encountered many headaches! From day one, the phone powers off itself and then powers on. Sometimes it shuts down completely. I have taken it back and received another one and it did the same. Then, I send it to the Nokia Company in Florida and what was suppose to take 3 business days became 18 days. Nokia stated that they flashed it and has not problems, and Metro says no customer have complained about it. One Metro representative stated that they have seen the phone shut down due to downloading ringtones and pictures. Well now, I am on their waiting list, and get this, to recieve a Nokia REFURBISHED phone. Because 7 days passed after my purchased, I can't get a refund. I'm I the only one ex...

I got the Nokia 6255i yesterday. Spent the evening using the bluetooth function to transfer my addressbook to the Nokia 6255i. Will see how the rest of it works. So far I"m pleased with what it can do.
