MetroPCS, Service Plans, FCC, and 4G Video

by PrinceJason    Feb 2, 2011, 3:26 PM

Ran across another article about Metro vs. FCC - http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/editorial s/la-ed-metropcs-20110201,0,6422631.story

The news article being from the LATimes, I am unsure of its robust accuracy. Notwithstanding it brought to my attention some details which I had not read in previous articles on Metro's and Verizon's case with FCC.

I assumed that the new 4G service was basically unlimited 4G web. But if you look at http://www.metropcs.com/plans/ then it appears that only the $60 plan has unlimited 4G web. Yet with locked 4G access to only YouTube and the limited content on Metro's Video on Demand.

I have specific interests regarding if the new Net neutrality laws are designed to open this up to any streaming content.
