thinking of holding out...

I have to be honest. As MetroPCS expands their coverage and phone selection, it's getting harder to ignore them. I'm thinking of moving over from one of the "major" carriers that charges significantly more for significantly less. One thing is keeping me back, though, and that's finding the right phone.

Ideally, I want an Android phone with the new LTE 4G speed. I know Metro has announced that they will be coming out with more 4G phones, but does anyone know if that will include one with the Android platform?

I like the Optimus M, but downloading/crawling at 1xx scares me. Similarly, I love the design of the Samsung Craft, but not having a major platform like Android is a concern, since it's become very obvious that Apple and Googl...

The Craft is crap if you want apps. I assume apps are the reason you want the Android platform.

I use the Optimus M. 1x is painful on downloads. It's equipped with Wi-Fi so if you want to use that to download your apps, it's plenty fast. 1x is plenty fast for e-mail.

Don't hold out. Join those of us who refuse to continue to get hosed by the big boys.

Metro should be launching a 4G Android device in the first quarter, I believe I read on the newsfeed here.

The Craft is crap, however. I'd rather use two tin cans and smoke signals to communicate to people.
