MetroPCS vs Straighttalk

OK, so here's the skinny. I've had both networks before. Currently I've got Straight talk, which the only problem I've had thus far is them taking my number and giving it away. I've been assigned a new one, and it's not that big of a deal to me. my contacts are all still there, so I just sent them a message. None of these are business anyway.

Now, I left Metro because of the stupid prices they had at the time, and the exceedingly lame coverage. upon looking them up, I see they have what appears to be "better" coverage than before, but what are all your opinions on it?

So far the only things attracting me are the $40/mo for unlimited talk/txt/pic deal and the Messager II.

Straight talk i like only because of the Verizon network cover...

I also forgot, simple things like Facebook would be nice. With ST, it's included, but what about Metro?

Like you said..every penny counts. If u r still interested, check out Metro again. Plans now include taxes. U can do the $50 plan and get all d features like email, im, etc. I have the $50 plan with the Samsung I220 or Code. I surf the web, facebook, gps, hotmail email, pocket express-which gives me d chance to stay away from the tv watching the news. It's got Windows 6.1 so I can download attachments with my email, slap on a mem card up to 16 GB and store stuff so that the mem on the phone is not full and slowing down the phone. The thing is like a laptop in d palm of ur hand. The phone is a bit pricey I will not lie, but no contract, flat monthly fee since taxes are included, do payments online so u can get away from d fee, if you go somew...

If someone wants Verizon's network(hence the coverage), Straightalk.
Someone wants a built from the ground up network(hence MetroPCS), limited coverage.

Both have horrible customer service reps that repeat everything you say like a parrot and are clueless at the first hard question they get. They will without hesitation put you on hold or tell you to submit a trouble-ticket via the website.

No taxes and fees? Then get horrible customer service. You decide. 😕

Hehe, no kidding. Part of post-paid's higher prices is paying to train and maintain customer service reps and repair centers. If you go pre-paid, you don't pay for it, so you don't get it... 🤤

If you get Metro, use the store as your customer service. No issues there.

If you want good phone support go with Virgin Mobile.

Yes MetroPCS has limits but think about it..how often does the average person travel outside of their home area? I sure don't but if I do travel I always go on their web site and check the coverage. MetroPCS is really getting there. It just added coverage in Mississippi, southern Alabama, western Florida panhandle and Memphis, TN area. Yes customer service sucks, yes service is a bit limited but look @ the savings. I have had every provider out there and I take Metro @ any time, no questions asked. I traveled to NY the other day and I had full service. I will admit there were some pockets but all providers have them and if you don't agree then you are lying to yourself. I mean, who is really gonna have a cell phone in the mountains or a farm...
