Wikipedia is your friend. If you get bored and don't want to get too much into the technical aspect of it, at least read the definitions on this page and take it upon yourself to learn which carrier uses what technology and frequency. That way you won't look like a dummy in front of your coworkers and customers.

If you're consdiering a career in the wireless industry, it would be beneficial for you to start learning about these things now.
