Buying Finesse on Ebay?

I was looking to pick up a Samsung Finesse, but the cost is a bit too steep. On Ebay I've seen them new in box for about $300 (from Metro with tax it comes out to about $370). How safe is it to buy one of these phones on Ebay. I really want it for ALL the functionality, so I'm not gonna be happy if I can only get some of the features working and not others. How easy would it be to transfer my current Metro number over? Is there a risk that the phone arrives and I cant get it connected?

It's always buyer beware on e-bay. If you can save $100 or more after shipping it may be worth your while. Just make sure it's a Metro PCS device that's new in the box from a seller with a lot of positive feedback. Any less than $100, just buy it from Metro.

When you're buying a MetroPCS phone from eBay/anywhere, make sure the original MetroPCS ESN was used in the same market as you are, otherwise your local MetroPCS store won't be able to use this ESN.

I bought a phone on eBay not knowing this and had to return it to the seller.

Markets as of 4/07:
Atlanta 010
South Florida 020
Sacramento 030
San Francisco 040
Central Florida 050
