Problems with the Samsung Messager...???
I got the Messager 4 days ago, and I am having problems downloading mp3 ring tones on the phone from the phone's browser. When I had the SLVR, I just went to Myxer or Funformobile.com and downloaded, but with the Messager it says that the files are not compatible.
I didnt have problems when I synched the mp3 ringtones from the PC to the phone but its time consuming. I'd rather just download from the phone though. Any suggestions???

Its not the phone, its the brand, Samsung doesn't let you Download ringtones, not this phone or any other they ever had with Metro PCS.

U can save them from pic messages though, samsung never used to do that before.

you can save them from mms but thats only for sounds, you have pay for ringtones or create them on your computer and just save them to your micro sd and either move it to your phone or leave as is, thats what i did

Well it is the model that Samsnug has given to metroPCS. 😕 Its not a good attraction toward metroPCS' handsets. My Motorola v3a can download content from particular websites. but other problems that the Messanger has is that you can't download applications from mobile websites.

I got the messenger just last week and I can't even transfer my music from my pc to my phone. My pc is asking for a cd-rom to add the new hardware. I've called MetroPCS and they told me to call the location i got the phone. The place where I bought the phone is saying that I need to go to a corporate office or contact Samsung. I call a corporate store and office and I just keep getting the run around. 👿 😕

No not really. It seem this happened with my computer also. The pc wouldn't detect my phone. and blue tooth hasnt been good either with pull music to the phone. (it could be done but its harder) I think the pc needs a driver or something thats why its asking for a cd. Its on the internet somewhere. I haven't found it yet.

You have to download samsung pc suite. It has the driver in the software. After you restart your computer you are all set. you can't really use the pc suite because it doesn't work with the messager yet but it will download the driver.

Samsungs have a block on them that prevents them to go onto sights like funformobile. Motorolas are able to do it that is why you wernt having any isses with your slvr. the best way is to get a memory card and format it for your phone by doing as followed:
-insert card into phone
-go to menu
-settings
-memory settings
-format card
-yes
doing this will wipe your card and create folders made specificly for the messager. there is a ringtone folder a sound folder and a music folder. using a program like limewaire on your computer is the best way. remove the card from your phone and put in computer make sure they are MP3 format.
NOTE: if you want to use a song as a ringtone and listen to it as MP3 you must copy it into both folders

you wouldnt happen to know how id be able to access the sounds ive tried saving to the sounds folder? stuff never seem accessable once ive tried to go to it once on my phone
