But does it include ALL of the unlimited calling and texting features? Like the unlimited local and long distance... Unlimited nationwide coverage and enhanced voice mail for the calling and unlimited text, picture and instant messaging and the global messaging? If so i'd be happy with that...

I actually flashed a Sanyo 8300. Worked fine until the phone itself crapped out. Voice and text only though. Keep that in mind. Also, won't work in newer markets like Vegas.

Some people don't like "Metroflash" or to Flash a phone, because they think they will only get voice and text, but in reality it all depends on which phone you have, some phones allowed you to have all the features of MetroPCS, while some others only give voice and text. An example of a Flashed phone that can do anything, is the Sprint HTC Mogul you get all the Metropcs features (Voice, Text, MMS, Internet plus GPS and Wi-Fi), I know 'cause this is the phone I been using for a while. But like this phone there are many others. Hope this helps. 😁

Like Marv said, some phones only do voice and text, so have more. The Sprint Samsung Instinct can do the web, but NOT picture or mms messaging. But having the web lets me get games, apps and ringers, so I'm completely happy with that. And the full web browser capability is amazing.

MetroFlash is pretty pointless unless you're a 60 year old fuddy duddy who knows nothing about the web, myspace, facebook, etc. I don't recommend it. It's only good for those who do nothing but place phone calls and doesn't want to spend money on a new handset with Metro. Plus things get even more complicated in an AWS market. Don't bother. Just sell your existing handset. eBay and Craigslist are your friends and buy a new one directly from Metro
