Is there less Metro coverage on the phone that just have CDMA 850/1900 compared to those who has CDMA 850/ 1750 and 1900?

i am not in the phone industry but my understanding is: the 1700 band is being introduced in new metro markets like philly shreveport and such so i would say yes as far as moving around the country i am in the Dallas area and have used metro for 2 years and get outstanding signals with a 800/1900 handset

I would say yes it would be less because almost all of MetroPCS' new coverage footprints are being launched in the AWS (1700/2100 MHz) band. For instance, only metro Detroit is 1900 only in Michigan and all of metroPCS' new coverage is all AWS from Lansing to Flint, to Saginaw-Bay City-Midland, and even the new markets that are getting ready to launch: Grand Rapids-Holland-Muskegon.
