that is a good one, people will like the 2.5" display. I hope it is true cause metro is very very behind on phone selection, like million years behind big 4.

URBAN LEGEND -- Metro is still pushing candybar and RAZR type phones. Best advice to Flash a HTC Touch and have someone add the MMS & Internet features. Every city have someone like Pookie or RayRay who will do the Houdini software work for about 20 bucks.

Shawty can you give an ETA? I have gotten with 4 Metro stores here in S Florida and no one can confirm this. Just the mid-level Nokia coming in March or April. Thanks for your time

Well I just got off this other site i think called Howard forums, Jay frequents it a little too i see, but it seems over there not only are 2 users swearing by the Hint in mid to late Feb, but they are also both stating a BB Curve 8830 model (I think) in March that will be exclusive to Best Buy stores.
It's hard for me to get excited because as both sites are concerned we have been hearing about these type of phones for forever now.
I wont even bring up the SUPPOSED touchscreen coming in beginning of 2010.
I still very skeptical because 2 reps at 2 different stores are claiming NO info, but I thought I would give whatever info I could find.
Hope that helps folks thanks for your time.

bottom line is this the hint is not a smart phone of anykind its just a basic texting phone with percs.... the bb will require a seperate data package if not the 1x data will cripple the phone... get an htc and flash it to metro

At Last! 🤤 Both the Hint and Blackberry 8830 will come out sometime in Feb. No good reason now why not to switch if you live in one of metroPCS's coverage areas.

the hint willbe out late feb not mid.. as for the curve if it does release by mid march. it will be a best buy exclusive but my concerns are just as everyone else.. at the end of the day it s still a metro phone and most of the blackberry features probably wont even be available and the cost for this best buy metro pcs blackberry wil probably be through the roof.

We're expecting the Motorola Hint QA30 in the last week of February. The "SUPPOSED" touch screen phone is the Motorola Halo QA4 (http://www.cellaz.com/news/3261/bluetooth-si g-reveals-motorola-qa4/). Very little else is known about the phone and even though it's supposed to arrive in the Spring, I doubt it given the lack of information. We're expecting in the Summer the Blackberry Curve 8330, which would run under a new plan (maybe $55 or $60 a month as MetroPCS hasn't determined this yet) with an enhanced data package.

Thanks for the info Metro One. I still have the Nokia 6265i phone. I have paid to get the screen fixed twice, the casing is cracked, and the battery(original) is on its last leg. But I cannot part with this phone unless I know I'm getting a better one or at least equal to in quality. I'm interested in the Hint, but the reviews I have read so far are concerning.

I cannot afford to do the Hint($249) and then a few months later pop the cost ($400?) for the Blackberry....so should I stay with the Nokia and get a new battery skip past the Hint and just wait for the BB blackberry IF it comes? The Halo doesnt sound too intriguing either way. Thanks

The word is that we are getting a lot of nice phones this year. We're also negotiating in bringing the Samsung Instinct for a December release.

I would skip the Hint and wait for the Halo or the Curve. When more information is released on the Halo you can make an informed decision as which to buy.
