Hi all, my folks currently have Verizon, but they're thinking of switching to Metro PCS. They live in the Tampa area (Go Rays!) and they were wondering how the coverage compares. Do any of you know how good Metro PCS's coverage is in the general Tampa Bay area?
Thanks!

I live in the Tampa Bay area, and have had Metro PCS for 3 years, and do not have any problems with service. I use this phone in both Pinellas and Hillsborough counties (Tampa and in the far eastern part of the county). I have been very happy with it. No dropped calls. I hope that this helps your parents.

2 years with metro is nothing but sastisfaction, eventhough their phones selection is a joke. The bill is very precise you know what you have to pay and the breeze of paying online is a big help. Coverage in both Tampa/clearwater & Orlando are very good. This is one of reasons why I am stil with metro cause it is 3 times cheaper than At&t or big V each month. My web checking on CNBC stock quotes is faster than my friend's I-phone 3g from AT&T on some days...go figure.
BTW, each month, quater and year goes by, the reception and coverage and service is getting better that is all I can say.
