arrrggghhh

My girlfriend and I bought two phones around the 20th of last December. I ran low on cash, so I returned my phone, well before the 30 days, and with less than an hour of talk time. My girlfriend checked her bill today (January 23) and while we were supposed to have a free month first, she noticed a bill for $180!! We went to the store and (the absolute rudest!) worker told us that the plan I canceled has been been active the whole time, even after I showed her the return receipt.

Anyways, she tried to call customer service and couldn't get through, and simply told us to call it later. There is no way they can charge me for this is there? The worker was absolutely clueless and no help whatsoever. We don't know why the bill is so high. This...

Best bet is to report them to the BBB. Metro is known for their unkowledgable and rude CSR's.

Get to your local corp store. Get the manager and have that manager get a hold of the local indirect account rep for that store and report the problem right away. You should be able to get everything fixed.

When you returned the phone, did you stay there long enough to make sure that the person that you returned it to called the dealer services line? Working in a store that sells MetroPCS, it's SOP that we call in the cancellation while the customer is still at my location to make sure that it gets taken care of.

The $180 bill does seem high, but it also depends on what was added to the phones. The bill was also for the second month of service that you were charged for.

Just because you have a return receipt doesn't mean that everything was taken care of properly, so the best thing to do is to either go to the nearest corporate store like everyone else has mentioned earlier, or go to a dealer that seems to be helpful and knowledgabl...

He is lying it's obvious. With MetroPCS, you prepay for the service you will be using that month. They also give you a receipt of whats on your account and what you are charged for and how much including the taxes. There is no possible way you could have had a bill for 180$ dollars. The highest i have seen is 107$ because my two friends each had a line together so there bills were combined and even with the highest metro rate plan it can't reach 180$.Sir you are lying.
