Do you think MetroPCS is going to release any smar phones? I think they could sell a blackberry or motorola Q. They probably would be in the $400 range.

They are working on the idea of Smart phone for use with Metro. The Q was to be released for use with Metro in Dec. But due to software issues with the Q it was sent back to Motorola. There nothing schedule in the near future.

Yeah I saw the Moto Q was CDMA with EVDO support so I thought metro would be one to use it. But with Windows Mobile I bet it would be hard to lock the software to Metro's stuff. Just imagine how much it would cost too, $450 probably. I rather switch to sprint and get it for $99.

EVDO is not offered at this time in any markets for Metro. The system is able to be updated to use it. There are several types being looked at. Of course cost is huge factor with picking out a smart phone. But you can bet the cheapest smart phone will be around $350 to $400. I know names that have been dropped Palm,Blackberry,Samsung and UT StarCom. Do your research and you should be able to spot which ones they might use. But dont forget CTIA is going right now as well. So who knows what will be seen!

I have been waiting patiently for this to happen. I have MetroPCS for personal service and love it, but pay so much it hurts for my business phone service. I would pay MetroPCS at this point to start offering PDA phones so that I could give them to all my employees instead of the crazy 100 a head I'm paying now.

PLEASE, PLEASE do this!!!!!!!!!

Hear, hear! I would pick up a smart phone the day it came out. Motorola's are pretty cheap nowadays.. because of the software issues. Go Samsung please! The BlackJack would look awesome with a Metro label on it.
