The DMCA expiring dosen't mean that we won't be able to legally unlock our phone's anymore... The DMCA is to fight piracy, and is a legacy that the bush administration left us with..... Which Company do you work for that is lobbying renewal?

Thank god the DMCA is expiring!!! Just so everyone knows The DMCA is responsible for making "format-shifting" illegal. That is copying a dvd or music and encoding as another file (movies on phones for example)

Do not under any circumstances let this RIAA cronie trick you into supporting renewal unless you like college kids being sued for entertainment or want someone on your wireless network to get you sued. please people wiki the DMCA and see that it is just restrictions and not freedom!

The exemption that allows consumers to “unlock” cell phones in order to switch them from one carrier network to another will expire this year unless the Library of Congress continues to see the light.

The whole DMCA is going to expire? When? If it is, good riddance to a bad law!
