Email to Text Message

I would like to send a text message to a MetroPCS phone from my internet email. (I can do this with Verizon by emailing the phone #@vtext.com) Is there a similar feature?

Greetings,

PhoneNumber@mymetropcs.com seems to work well.

No separator chars between the tritets.

Alas, as reported elsewhere, teleflip is no longer the all-carrier option of choice.
