I have a i830 and want to flash it. I went to a store last week and the salesperson tried but said it wouldn't finish the process. He said it was a 3 step proccess and it did the 1st 2. Has anyone successfully flashed this phone and/or is there anything I can do to help the rep.

Why would you want to flash a smartphone anyways?

You can't use the web, e-mail or any of the features that make it a smartphone.

Not bashing on you, I just really don't understand why anyone would bring a Smartphone over to Metro at this point in time, it seems like a waste.

Now, to your question, the Samsung i830 runs on Windows Mobile, not on basic cell phone configuration. Basically, PDA/Smartphones are not really compatable with the MetroFlash... or the MetroPCS network.

Well I have a pda and a cellphone. If I can combine them and just have one then I'm a happy camper.

I figure windows mobile software the problem but the i830 and the vx6700 are the only smartphones on the list. So I new someone with one and figured I'd give it a try.

Only CDMA phones are capable of being flashed onto the Metro PCS network. You can go to either keepmyphone.com or houdinisoft.com
to find a list of the phones able to be flashed.
