Metropcs offers "unlimited push email" on their website. They do not know what "push email" is and should stop advertising it. Only Blackberry in the US offers true "push email" although it is common in Europe.

"Push" traditionally uses MDA (Mail Delivery Agent), and the Blackberry uses MUA (Mail User Agent) and their own BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) which will "pull" and then "push" to the Blackberry device.
