Metro Phones
I know many people post this question here alot but I am in the market to get a metro pcs phone but none of them are really appealing. Does any one have any correct and accurate information as to which phones metro is to offer and when?

Put it this way.Metro is not coming out with any Quality phones until the RAZR2 and W385 are getting released. If i was you, i'd get a 2865i if you want a basic phone,a Moto v323i for a simple camera phone,and a SLVR or RAZR if you want everything on your phone.Metro is releasing a Kyocera but a few reviews said it's terrible.There is s Samsung Slider being released no idea if that will be a good phone or not.The Samsung U520 is bad to.Can't even use MP3 ringers but it is a MP3 player wow?Also no bluetooth transfer and the reception won't be the best.Hey feel free to purchase any phone you want but this is just some advice from a long time Metro customer.

Basically a V3c sans evdo(which is fine cause metro doesn't use it), VGA Camera instead of 1.3, all black.
Samsung r400
Slim silver slider with bluetooth, 1.3mp camera, decent sized screen, speakerphone, internal antenna, no memory card slot.
Samsung u520
Slim all black flip with internal and external color screens, microsd slot, outer mp3 controls, bluetooth, 1.3mp camera, speakerphone, internal antenna.
Supposed to be out in august...

KRZR design, vertical monochrome lcd (like w315), VGA Camera, Bluetooth, speakerphone, 128x160 TFT main display, no memory card slot.
I think the w385 would be the best lower priced phone (not necessarily comparing it to whats out ...

Also the u520 will be available very soon. Dealers can order it, i believe retail will be $219-$229.
Some people are in uproar(no pun intended) about its ability to use your mp3s as ringtones (from the microsd card etc), which is true for the alltel version, but it might not be the case in the metro version - since the firmware wont be the same. I'm not saying for sure one way or the other, I'm just saying you will have to wait and see i guess until someone actually tries with a metro one.

We have already had some of the people who work from metro test and confirm that mp3's won't be useable as ringtones.Check the howardmobile metro pcs fourm for more info there.

Also i get confused with the RAZR 2 and the v3a or w/e sorry about that.And if your a big talker you might wanna get a spare battery or two and always keep a spare charger with you if your away from home alot it will help in the long run.

What is this samsung r400 people keep on mentioning. I cant seem to find this phone any where like not even a pic online or here on phonescoop! Can someone please show me what this phone looks like, by possibly posting a link to some where that shows this phone!

Its a pretty slick design, smaller than it looks, and pretty slim. You should be seeing it very soon in stores. I think it will be $199. I think if it had a memory card slot, qvga screen, and no restrictions, it would be a very nice phone. Well it would be alot like the nokia slider only slimmer, and a protected camera.
