Yes samsung has stepped up.I've tested just about every Metro phone in different areas. In every area with moto, samsung,ut,and kyrocera had no reception, Nokia had 1 bar.But i don't care about the bars i have i care if i can make and receive clear calls.

The only thing Samsung has over Moto is a more compact size, better battery, and bluetooth 1.2 if it matters. The Moto has the better reception,It can transfer files through bluetooth, and better sound quality.
