I am so disgusted with the spam from Virgin -- on both my cell phone and my home phone that when I've used up my minutes I am finding a new carrier.

The first text message came in the middle of the night the day after my mother died. I was finally asleep and my phone starts beeping and won't quit. Finally got up and threw the dang phone out the back door.
Today they called me on my home phone!
After the second text message I received, I spent a couple of hours emailing and calling and being on hold trying to figure out how to get them to stop. They lied to me: one said there was nothing they could do, the other said there was an option on the website.

Today, I checked the privacy policy-- it does say you can request to opt out. Of course, it doesn't tell you how. So I called again and got a phone rep who actually knew what he was doing and was willing to do it. (I swear one time when I called, there was a party going on. It was so loud in the background that I had to ask the guy over and over again to repeat what he said because I couldn't hear him.)

Virgin Mobile-- another on the unfortunately long list of companies that treats their customers like chumps.
