VM versus TING and coverage?

I have been checking out a new MVNO called TING (Google it for more deets).

So far, they seem perfect for me. No contracts, a la carte choices/billing and they have the coverage of Sprint network. Their coverage map is the same as Sprint's.

I was also considering VM. But their coverage map looks terrible for me. I'm in NJ but do travel.

TING and VM are on the Sprint network so shouldn't VM's coverage map look the same as Sprint's map on their website?

Wow, Virgin board is very quiet. I haven't chimed in because I'm not too certain about Ting and I haven't been able to get any additional information for you.

It's possible that Ting uses Sprint and some other regionals as opposed to just Sprint like Virgin uses. I'd be extremely hesitant to use a small MVNO like that but that's just me personally.

I agree, VM's (Sprint's) coverage map looks terrible.

But it's been my experience that when I travel outside areas of Sprint network, I continue to have service.

Oh, sure, maybe not in East Clawhammer Kentucky, but I'm talking about along interstates and reasonably inhabited villages, I have service, and never any additional charges...
