I have both the Marbl and the ARC, so here is my short comparison -

I notice no lag on the ARC when texting, it seems fast to me. While I found the Marbl almost unusable for texting due to lag. I find the keyboard on the ARC to be rather cramped compared to the Marbl. But I like the keyboard feel on the ARC.

I find mobile browsing withe ARC works OK, I found the Marbl to be unusable due to the slowness of the phone. Both do not compare in any way to my wife’s iPhone for web browsing. I find the display on the ARC to be of better quality and just as bright.

The ARC shape does not have a straight line on it, which contrast with the blocky shape of the Marbl. This give the ARC a much higher quality feel to it. I do find one drawback to shape of the ARC - the edges taper to a thin edges that makes holding the phone a harder than the Marbl. The ARC has a number of useful buttons on the sides and I find it easy to press them when I don’t want to, since they are on these edges. Also the antenna is located on the back below the hinge, so covering that area with you hand can cause signal drop outs (no different than any other phone when you cover the antenna). I find signal strength to be about the same between the two phones.

Other upgrades to the ARC -
Small but useful external display.
Bluetooth headset support.
Amazing battery life - I have seen 11 days with light usage before running out of battery.
New improved UI - the menus on the ARC are much more richer looking than the very basic menus of the Marbl.
A simple camera that is good for taking basic pictures and not much else.
