Well, someone called my roommate's phone (my "alternate number") and I called them back. Turns out it was a "non-working" or "bad" phone number. So they just gave me a new one. I don't see why it took a week for them to figure that out and fix it - it literally took 5 minutes on the phone to get everything settled. But whatever, everything's cool now.
