1) The phone does not have the correct Preferred Roaming List (PRL) loaded in it. or
2) You are not near a Sprint PCS Tower. Not likely since you said you get Sprint withanother phone
3) Virgin did not get the phone activated correctly. Try verifing the the ESN in the phone is then ESN on the phone and the ESN that they activated.
Try dialling 611, if you reach a Sprint recording it is not the PRL.
