Hi guys
I need info. Basically I buy cheap prepaid phones to take rough conditions so my PDA doesn't get messed up. I had a C139 from Tracfone but it took a spill in the river and now it doesn't work. So I need to get a new one. I'm bored with the C139 and the next cheapest phone is the Marbl from Virgin. So what I want to know is if it's a solid phone? Since I will be taking it to remote (outdoors) places, I want to know it'll be able to make emergency calls.
Any help is welcome! I know Kyoceras aren't good phones but this isn't my primary.

Why don't you purchase a Bluetooth device. Like the LG phone pen-style bluetooth?
...
Then I still have to take my phone with me. Bluetooth doesn't work from 10 miles away.

Yes, BlueTooth can work up to 30 feet away.

i don't know how strong the Marbl is but i can say i dropped my old Kyocera strobe off the roof of my house by accident thats a good 9 feet and it landed on the concrete driveway it still works fine.

Why was your phone on the roof?
...
i was up there repairing one of the heat exhaust fans and i got a call i went to answer it and if fell out of my hands and slid down the roof and then fell 9 feet. i thought for sure it would be broken at least one of the screens. but it was perfectly fine.

Yeah, phones are tougher than people give them credit for. The C139 I have has been dropped in a river 3 times, Left in direct sunlight in a car for 4 hours, and been run over by a car. Works fine, a little cosmetically messed up, but still makes calls.

i would have never thought that phone could take such a beating.

It's a tank. The C139 is literally the perfect "beat-up" phone. It's incredibly cheap, the battery life and reception are great, and it's very durable.

ya i think it is only $20 and it didn't look that strong but i guess looks can be deceiving.
