I am looking into VM because my local Bell company doesn't have pre-paid national coverage. I am a somewhat frequent talker, but mostly I text everyone because of its obvious convienience. I am wondering whather or not I should get it and what phone I should be looking into. The natural choice would be the switch back, but the cyclops and slider sonic also sound appealing. Any comments?

I have been with Virgin Mobile since Feb 2004. First with the K7Rave which I lost( fell out of my phone case down the hotel toilet). I replaced it with the K9 in June 2005.
Last week i just bought the Cyclops, if the Slider Sonic had been available at Best Buy I would have gone with that one. My first choice was the Switchback, until I held the one Best Buy had on displayed. The keys on the outside aren't bad, but the ones on the keyboard are so tiny. It would be hard to text one handed with it.
The main problem I have is the reception isn't as good in my house with the Cyclops as it was with the K9. Texting on it is great, though. The screen is much clearer easier to read.

I tend to text more then actually talk on my cell phon...

So what phone would you reccomend getting, the cyclops, slider, or switchback. I'm going to see if Best Buy has a Switchback on display because Radio Shack didn't.

I would have got the sonic slider if it was available at Best buy because it has a memory card, that the other 2 don't have. So far I like the cyclops. The Best Buy I went to in FtWorth,Tx had both the switchback and cyclops on display.
For me the switchback's keys on the internal keyboard were to small. I think you need to see them in person and be able to try it out.
Also the powerplug slot for the Cyclops will fit a USB data cable. So if you want to download ringtones or music from your PC to the phone you can. The switchback doesn't have that feature from what I've been told.
