RESTON, Va. - Sprint Nextel Corp. reported Monday that its cell phone business suffered a net loss of 300,000 monthly subscribers in the fourth quarter and that the struggling wireless company will cut 5,000 jobs.
The company's stock plunged more than 8 percent after the financial update, which included a 2007 outlook shy of many Wall Street forecasts.
Sprint said it expects its 2006 results to be in line with its previous guidance, with full-year revenue of $41 billion to $41.5 billion and adjusted operating income before depreciation and amortization of $12.6 billion to $12.9 billion. Verizon troll with a T-Mobile screename, its a suprise I feel like wasting my time replying to your pointless posts. Like anyone would even think your opinion has any weight.
I would get a more intelligent answer about cell phone from my grandmother, atleast she'll admit she doesn't know anything rather than post something useless like others.
Sprint and Nextel are in the middle of a difficult merger. Things are going to be tough for them until everything is integrated.
Sprint has massive amounts of bandwidth to use, more than double what T-Mobile has even after the latest auction acquisitions.
T-Mobile is nothing more than a me-too GSM carrier that has much less coverage than any other tier 1 carrier. Your company is way behind in the technology game. Sprint is deploying 4g before T-Mo rolls out 3g.
When Sprint's ship rights after the merger they will be able to bury their competitors with the bandwidth and technology they offer.
The marketplace may not see it for a while ...
