Sanyo customer support

I emailed Sanyo's Customer Support a general question about the operation of their phones and received a response telling me that all support is handled by Sprint. While researching my cellphone purchase I contacted a number of manufacturers and Sanyo was the only one who refused to answer my questions!

Here's a brain-twister: If they refer all their tech support questions to Sprint then why does their website even have a section for cellular support? Wouldn't it make more sense to inform users to contact Sprint right from the start rather than have then fill-out a long form (model#, etc. info is required) and then have to wait up to 24 hours only to then be told to contact Sprint?

I sure hope their phones work better than their custom...

what was the question... might it have been a carier specific one???

The question was asking if it was normal for the LiIon type batteries to feel warmer during extended usage than the old-type (NiHy)cellphone batteries. It was simple and fairly general question but their response said to contact Sprint because Sanyo doesn't handle warranty services on their phones. My email never suggested that the phones were defective or that I was making a warranty claim, only that was new to LiIon batteries and unsure if what I was experiencing was normal.
