Samsung a900 AKA BLADE

Does anyone have the latest 411 on this phone? I saw one this weekend but the guy said they havn't set a price yet. I heard Dec 1 for (hofo)release. Anyone have any info?

$349 without a contract, $199 with a 2 year. Most stores have slready sold out of their first and second shipments (as mine has) so I am not sure why they are telling you it is not available. Best Buy in the Detroit area has them in stock. I bought the last one my store had tonight (about an hour ago) so I haven't had a chance to chek it out yet.

I played with our active demo for a while and it had decent sound and signal (when I get it home will be the real test), and typical Samsung bad sounding ringers (the 9000 sounds much better). Minimal storage which I am not impressed with (about 50 megs with no expansion slot but it says 47.3 when I check it in the phone). It appears that the downloadable songs are not stored on the phone ...

the crippling of bluetooth is only really on verizon no one else does it

As an update to my post above I have a little more info. Signal strength seems to be good in my apartment where I have mediocre coverage so that is a plus. The screen when taking pictires on the highest settings appears a little grainy but the picture itself is extrememly clear and sharp. The 2 bad things I have found: Battery life is not that great but I am hoping this improves with use. The Second thing, the charging/data port cover is tethered to the phone. This is a greeat idea but with the included charger it pinches the tether everytime it is plugged in. I forsee a lot of missing port covers on this as over time the charger will wear the tether down and cause it to break and fall off.
