Hi,

I'm leaving the high rip-off Nextel for Sprint!😁

I was wondering, I heard about the NEW Samsung a660 for Sprint. Anyone know when it will be on the market?

Thanks!

P.S. Nextel doesn't "rule" anymore.

Take it from me as a SPCS user of 5+ years...GO SANYO! Samsung phones are great except they commonly have reception problems on SPCS - not sure why, they just do. But I've never had a single problem with SANYO phones period. Plus the new SANYOs have dual color screens, cameras, etc.

ditto on NEXTEL not ruling...LNP will kill 'em too

😁 🙂 🤣 😉 😎 😛

Thanks for your reply.

I'll look at Sanyo, but I really don't need a camera phone.

Not all Sanyo's are camera's.. but hey why not get the camera phone for the hell of it.. just becuz its there doesnt mean you HAVE to use it. The new Sanyo flip with Readylink, doesnt have a camera.

Everyone is right, Samsung has seriously degraded in quality. and has really given Sprint bad rep. 99% of "reception issues" are Samsung related. Go figure. Take it from everyone who has replied, stick with Sanyo, you wont be disappointed. 😉

The a660 a.k.a. VI660, should be out in limited quantities within the next week. As others have said, Sanyo phones have historically been the best phones on SPCS, and most Samsung phones have left something to be desired. However, this has changed dramatically on the 2 latest Samsung phones, the A600 and A620/VGA1000. I own the VGA1000 and get better reception than my old Sanyo 5300. Not to mention Samsung has better menu options (i.e. an actual alarm clock). I would expect that the VI660 follows this new quality trend of Samsung's. The VI660 is a lot more appealing form factor (very compact) than any of the Sanyo phones. It does lack an outside display though. If you want the best of both worlds, wait for the A680, which will be the sa...
