Planning to leave Sprint, any advice?

by davidg4781    Jun 3, 2013, 12:02 AM

Ok, this isn't one of those hate on Sprint things. I like Sprint, I really do.

Unfortunately I live in an area not covered by Sprint. On their maps it's a huge white hole. I've got by with an Airave for the past 3 years (that they made me pay for) but I just can't handle it anymore. I have 4 lines total, the other 3 live a couple of hours from me. They at least have voice service and even though it's green on Sprint's map data crawls at 0.01kbps.

In the past, every time I've talked to Sprint about this they've said they will let me out ETF free. What's the best way to ensure this is done properly. Also is there any best time relative to my billing cycle? I want to do it in the middle of this month and my cycle runs I believe until May 2. I'm not sure if I'm keeping my number or going with whatever AT&T gives me (I kind of like having AT&T numbers with AT&T service, etc.).

Anything else I should know? I really hate having to leave them but I just don't feel I'm getting what I'm paying for and I don't think they have the means to correct the issues. Sad
