coverage problem won't really change because of the phone and if it does won't be that much significant. is your problem indoors or outdoors? if indoors at home, call sprint and ask for an AIRAVE it's a little device which requires highspeed internet to generate CDMA signal, if it's out doors either specific location or multiple locations call tech support and they will tell you whether is an outage or has to be reported to engineering. Verizon migh an option, but, remember they're a lot more expensive. now, answering the specific question what phone is better, that depends on what you need your phone for. not just because the S3 just came out, but, S3 is faster, has more features, better technology.

The Airrave is small part of my problem, doesnt go far from box and no coverage so?? I been working with Sprint and Cox on that issue and still not fixed(part of why I was thinking of jumpin ship??) Outddoors in a big city and half the time very little or no coverage thats why I was also wonderin if Sprint is worth waiting to get coverage, I just got the GS2(I had the Epic) I like this phone but ?? doesnt have the LTE,my luck Sprint might just come to Phoenix sooner so I was really considering one of the other phones the EVO LTE,GS3 or iphone 4s(for the LTE) if it was to come here and which is an all around better phone. Thanks for the response!!

if you Airave does not work, there's tech support dept. just for airaves, regular tech support does not know how to work with it. as for coverage, call customer service and if they do not know ask to be transferred to tech support. they can tell you if there's an outage in the area, if it's the network vision (replacing towers) or if they need to submit a network ticket called CTMS. the good thing if it happens to be the network vision, is that once they finish the service will be way lot better and in your case would be about 20 times better. if there's an outage be sure engineering should be working on it. if they need to create a network ticket it usually takes about 5 days to be resolved.

as you know the iphone is only 3g, if I were y...

there are 2 different types of AIRAVES I gues you have regular one, the other one is called 2.0 and has more coverage and supports more devices at the same time.

I have the airrave 2.0 I think, it does phone(for extra 20 bucks) and cell coverage. I talked to them in airrave dept. and they are goin to send me the airrave 2.5 it gives more coverage for cell and data only no phone plan. The one post on here stated you can up the sq ft on sprint.com?? I can do it or? and where do you go on website? Thanks guys for all the info!! I like Sprint its just the coverage

well, honestly I don't know where you can do that yourself at sprint.com, should have asked the airave tech support dept.

did you talk to regular tech support about possible outages or reporting your issue to engineering? all problems have a solution. let me know, I still have more resources to share about resolving your coverage issue.

I looked all over Sprint site for that link or?? to set the coverage higher for Airave couldnt find it.
They are sending me the 2.5 and they say its better so?? if not will call the engineers to set it higher if needed.
As of now looks like I will stay with Sprint, I have about a week to cancel if I decide otherwise.I just hope they get it together and coverage gets better. I will be traveling(possibly,if I get this new job) around Arizona and New mexico and need that coverage doing so.
My account as of now 4 phones all smart phones is about 195 bucks a month, 1500 minutes everything else unlimited. If there is another carrier out there same or cheaper better coverage I would consider.Or would Verizon be better I know I would pay more(no...
