what phones work with Everything Messaging plan

Hi - I need to replace a lost phone. We have the Sprint Everything Messaging 1500 plan with 1500 minutes shared voice and unlimited text (no other data services).

Sprint told me that none of the "smart phones" would work, and, right now, they are only offering two used/refurbished phones for sale and I don't like either of them.

Can I use any Sprint phone, or will only certain Sprint phones work with this plan? I understand that the certain features will not work if the plan does not support the feature (for example, internet browsing and email).

Thank you!

as a rep for sprint, you can use any messaging or feature basic phone. The website will say there is a dat arequirement when looking at phones if it will not work on your plan. All smart phones have features that require data to function, visual voicemail, nav, gps, and some other features.

Thank you for your response. Can you please clarify if a more advanced phone will work with the Everything Messaging plan for at least the features the plan supports: basic cellular voice telephone and text?

It would be ok with me if the nav/gps, internet, email and other features do not work. I just want the basic voice telephone and text to work.

My problem is that the current used/refurbished phones from Sprint for this plan do not meet my needs even for basic operation.

How much texting do you do? LG Lotus is available Preowned. It's kind of ugly but it gets the job done.

i think for a more advanced phone, you are going to have to get a touch pro or maybe touch pro II, sprint doesnt sell either any more, ebay craigslist, pawn shops ect.

Both the pre-owned phones currently offered by Sprint a very small sizes marketed towards women. The number pads for dialing are shared by the keyboard. I'm ok with the small keyboard for texting, but the shared keyboard is very hard for me to use for dialing a phone number.

Because Sprint is not offering a phone that meets my needs, I am planning to buy a phone from Craigslist or Ebay with a clear ESN. I was hoping that someone could clarify whether or not I can use ANY phone set up for Sprint service, or only specific phones for this plan.

Thanks again for your responses. I REALLY appreciate your help. Thank you. 🙂
