Well, if you believe all of the rabid Sprint fanbois, the only problem with Sprint is that damn Nextel.

Thus, as soon as Sprint shuts down Nextel's iDEN network in early 2013, Sprint will be magically cured of all its troubles. Based on the Sprint fanbois insistence that Nextel is the root of all Sprint's evils, one would assume that sometime in 2013 the stock will skyrocket to its rightful place ;-) ;-) ;-)

Considering the fact that they came in second to Verizon in 2009, 2010 & tied for 1st place in 2011 in Consumer Reports, I'd say the real trailer park attendees are the clueless morons who continue to blather the same old Sprint sucks mantra.

This is wrong. I happen to work for U.S. Cellular and we get the consumer report magazine. Sprint was rated 3rd (rating of 72) as a national carrier in the 2011 consumer report, behind Verizon (rating of 73) and U.S. Cellular (rating of 84). They were 5th overall with Consumer Cellular (first place) and Credo (3rd place).

Also, U.S. Cellular won the Consumer Reports in 2010 as a national carrier with Verizon and then Sprint behind.

I'm looking at the magazine from this last year right now.

The good news for Sprint, they used to be last consistently but have really turned things around. If they continue they will win a Consumer Report which will be good, for as much as I love the company I work for, Big Red cares nothing for my co...

Sprint did tie Verizon for national wireless carriers this last time. A difference of 5 points isn't meaningful, according to CR's own data. Even last year, they weren't recommending it over Sprint. US Cellular is still considered a regional carrier. I agree that they are the best of all. If USC had coverage in my area, I'd definitely be a subscriber.

US Cellular is considered a National Carrier, even the Consumer Report magazine listed them as such and as #1 amount National Carriers.

Maybe a difference of 5 isn't meaningful, but that means that T-Mobile who got a score of 67 isn't a difference in service satisfaction to Sprint who got a 72. Verizon is 6 above T-Mobile though, making them look better if you use the 5 point rule.

True, Sprint has pulled themselves out of the ditch and into third place (or second place when compared strictly to nationwide carriers). That is all to the good.

The sad thing is, until Sprint bought Nextel, Nextel was always number one in nationwide carrier customer satisfaction. If Sprint had been smart enough to adopt the Nextel model of customer service, Sprint would have leapfrogged Verizon to become number one YEARS ago. But Sprint chose the entrenched, loser "Sprint Way" rather than adopt the famously successful Nextel Way. Not talking about choices in network technology here...

Can't argue with numbers. Stock price sucks, each and every quarter Sprint loses hundreds and hundreds of millions of $$$!!!

Numbers aren't opinions, they're facts.

...stock yields would matter. Instead, it's a cell phone forum where ideas & opinions about service matter. None of this pointless blather has anything to do with the end user experience. Myself, I'm glad I can save $50 a month and get top quality service. Who cares about stock prices?

Seriously, you do realize that Sprint OWNS Nextel, so if you're a Nextel fanboi, that also makes you a Sprint fanboi...right?

Seriously, no. Your statement is both incorrect and illogical. But no matter...

OMG, you are so illogical and so inane it absolutely boggles the mind.

Of course Spint owns Nextel, that is obvious.

Your totally illogical and incorrect statement was "so if you're a Nextel fanboi, that also makes you a Sprint fanboi...right?"

You are so incredibly dense and unable to comprehend the written word, one has to wonder how many people it takes to watch over you and keep you from harming yourself. Your parents must be wealthy to be able to afford all the oversight it must take to protect you from yourself.

I think what was missed here was that he was talking about pre-Sprint Nextel. So, indeed, your rebuttal was not logical. Just because Sprint owns Nextel now, doesn't mean that Nextel's past successes are Sprint's successes.

...is that he still loves Nextel, yet somehow hates Sprint. If Sprint has ruined a division of its own company, how can someone laud it while at the same time claiming everything it does is wrong? This is called doublespeak. So-called love/hate relationships are a contradiction in themselves.
